Ry Cooder, composer of the “Paris, Texas” soundtrack, traveled to Cuba in 1998 to work once again with the legendary musicians who had recorded “Buena Vista Social Club”, the album of latin jazz and traditional cuban music which in 1997 was a success around the world. Wim Wenders accompanied Cooder, attended the new studio sessions of these musicians and inquired about their lives in Havana. Finally, he filmed the concerts that these legends, reunited as a band under the name of Buena Vista Social Club for a triumphant world tour, offered in Amsterdam and New York.
