Toni Soler

After a period of collaboration with local media while studying for a degree in Contemporary History, Soler joined the team of the Barcelona Radio programme El Terrat in 1995. His work with Andreu Buenafuente continued on the Catalan TV channel TV3, first as a scriptwriter and then as director of his own programme: Malalts de Tele (1997-2000). In 2000 he started the programme Minoria Absoluta on radio station RAC1, which won both an Ondas Award and the National Culture Award from the Regional Government of Catalonia.

Soler (Figueres, 1965) is a director of the production company Minoria Absoluta, which is responsible for the TV3 programmes Polonia and Crackovia, as well as other audiovisual projects such as the TV movies 14th April: Macia vs. Companys and Barefoot on Red Soil.

Soler is also a regular contributor to the newspaper Ara and director of the new history magazine El Món d’Ahir (The World of Yesterday). Furthermore, he has written books spanning several genres, such as History of Catalonia (modesty aside) or Companys' Last Letter.
