1961. The Cold War is in full swing. The UN Secretary General, Dag Hammarskjöld, aims to bring peace to African countries which, after decolonization, are at war. This is the case in the Congo, where UN troops have been involved for the first time in a direct military conflict. Hammarskjöld is forced to personally negotiate a cease-fire.
