His existence and his art are characterized by lights and shadows, contrasts and contradictions, genius and sobriety. He was a revolutionary artist who was not always loved by his contemporaries. He traveled throughout Italy in search of luck or perhaps in search of himself, therefore in his masterpieces we find the echo of his existence.
