After an unexpected visit by his mother, he discovers that his father has died of a heart attack, leaving his home in the Caribbean in inheritance. Raquel, her girlfriend, insists that David fly to the Dominican Republic to sell the house and thus be able to pay off the debts and turn his bookstore into the place he has always dreamed of.
