Passionate drummer Ruben and her gilfriend Lou live together, traveling gig to gig playing their loud, frenzied music. When Ruben unexpectedly loses his hearing, he becomes overwhelmed by anxiety and his life is thrown into turmoil, causing him to struggle with depression and be tempted by past addictions. In a group home for Deaf addicts, Ruben must choose between his new Deaf community and the life of sound he left behind.
