Charlotte is a concert pianist worldwide praised, so focused on her career she has not seen her two daughters, Eva and Helena, in seven years. Married to a protestant pastor, Eva has to look after her sister, who is disabled and lives with her. After the decease of her husband and such a long time separated, Charlotte goes back to their daughters. The family reunion wakes up old memories and feelings and it turns into a tense confrontation between mother and daughter.
