Winner of the Best Documentary Award in Venice, this film tells about the life and work of Buster Keaton, the great artist of the Golden Age of silent cinema in Hollywood with Charles Chaplin. The influence of Keaton's films, such as The General (1926), The Hero of the River (1928) or The Modern Sherlock Holmes (1924), goes far beyond comedy and extends throughout the history of cinema to the present.
