A Jewish barber ex-soldier of the Great War returns home after years of recovering from a serious injury in a foreign hospital. Upon arriving home, he realizes that the country is in the hands of Adenoid Hynkel, a fascist dictator in favor of the marginalization of Jews in ghettos. While the barber meets the beautiful Hannah, the tyrant elaborates plans to take over the world.
