Wataru Hirayama is a wealthy Tokyo businessman highly respected among his family and friends for his serenity and always sound advice. A former schoolmate asks him to intercede for his daughter, who has ran away with a young man he does not accept, to return home. Wataru decides to talk to talk to the girl, but he has to face an unforeseen situation situation when a young man asks for the hand of his eldest daughter, Setsuko.
