An adaptation of the Nibelungenlied, a medieval epic poem that recounts the legend of Siegfried, prince of Xanten and a skilled blacksmith, who leaves his father’s castle with the purpose of killing a dragon. The creature’s blood grants invulnerability to anyone who bathes in it. During his journey, Siegfried is captivated by the beauty of Princess Kriemhild and decides to win her heart.
