Twenty‑five years after losing his wife and daughter in the tragic outcome of a kidnapping, Michael Courtland, a prominent New Orleans businessman, still blames himself about what happened. During a trip to Italy, he meets Sandra, a young woman who happens to be the living image of his murdered wife. Fascinated by the resemblance, he begins a relationship with her that draws him into an emotional journey marked by grief, guilt, and obsessive love.
