Carol Ledoux is a young woman who suffers from a deep sense of repulsion toward men, and she finds her sister Helen’s relationship with Colin, a married man, extremely uncomfortable. His physical presence in the flat they share intensifies her aversion, which reaches its peak when Helen decides to go on holiday, leaving her alone at home. It is then that the hallucinations, instability, and violence begin, plunging Carol into psychosis.
