This 2020, BCN FILM FEST will take place from the 17th to the 24th of April in the Verdi Cinemas of Barcelona. Faithful to Sant Jordi's cultural spirit, it continues offering films widely related to the subjects of Cinema-Literature-History in its Official Section, mostly focused on literary adaptations, biopics about big personalities and relevant historical events.
Just like in its previous editions, the Festival will be organized in 6 sections: the Official Section, Cinema amb Gràcia (dedicated to comedies), Zona Oberta, Art al Cinema (dedicated to big art documentaries), Imprescindibles (focused on auteur classics) and a section dedicated to the cinema from a guest country.
BCN FILM FEST 2020 POSTER
The official poster for BCN FILM FEST's 4th edition is an illustration of a frame from the movie A TALE OF SPRINGTIME by Éric Rohmer, a filmmaker to whom the festival is doing homage in its Imprescindibles section to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of his birth. Designed by Inés Martínez, this poster tries to express the intense passion that the festival holds for literature and books.
