Developed in collaboration with the Forum of Writers' Associations (FAGA) and with the support of the ICAA, the Conference is the closing event of the INSTANTÁNEA script workshop that takes place within the framework of the festival
The Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival (BCN FILM FEST), which will hold its second edition at the Verdi Cinemas in Barcelona from April 20 to 27, will open this year a new initiative developed together with the Forum of Writers' Associations (FAGA) and with the support of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA). An initiative that aspires to create an own space for the "film writers" in the Sant Jordi Week. A meeting point for professionals in the world of the screenplay and the rest of the film industry in Barcelona: La Jornada de Guionistas of BCN FILM FEST.
In its first edition, this Conference, aimed especially at industry professionals, will take place on the morning of April 24 at the Casa Fuster Hotel and will consist of a round table with renowned writers who will share their experience in the adaptation of pre-existing literary works into scripts.
The table "THE LITERARY ADAPTATION AND THE SCREENPLAY", will have the participation of:

This colloquium supposes, at the same time, the closing event of the INSTANTÁNEA, a new script workshop organized by FAGA that is celebrated within the framework of the BCN FILM FEST during the four days prior to the Conference. The own tutor of this script laboratory, the script-doctor Ana Sanz-Magallón, will be the moderator of the Round Table.
INSTANTANEA is an intensive residence for screenwriters with a script of a biopic or a historical film in hand, precisely the theme on which the Official Selection of the BCN FILM FEST focuses. The authors of the 4 selected scripts will be able to enjoy from 21 to 24 April a stay of creative seclusion, with accommodation and subsistence, within the festival thanks to the sponsorship of the ICAA. The writers will work their projects with the tutor, in individual and collective sessions.
"Bendita Guerra" by Ana Piles, "Otto" by Pedro Pablo Picazo, "Todos los Hombres volverán a caminar erguidos" by Héctor Beltrán and "O" by Andoni de Carlos are the projects selected to enjoy the creative residence of this first edition of Instantánea.
