EL MEJOR VERANO DE MI VIDA, by Dani de la Orden; LES DISTÀNCIES, by Elena Trapé; MI QUERIDA COFRADÍA, by Marta Díaz; and EL NOM, by Joel Joan, are the four confirmed Catalan films for the BCN FILM FEST.
The Catalan cinema once again has an outstanding space at the Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival (BCN FILM FEST), which is once more committed to its programming for Catalan films or with an outstanding talent from Catalonia. In its second edition, we will find in the Cinemas Verdi two films of Catalan producers, another directed by Dani de la Orden, one of the most requested Catalan directors of the moment and a production of TV3 that adapts a popular work of theater.
EL MEJOR VERANO DE MI VIDA

The new comedy by Dani de la Orden, a young Barcelona director who has already achieved critical and public success with his previous films "Barcelona, noche de verano,", "Barcelona, noche de invierno" and "El Pregón ". Produced by Atresmedia Cine, EL MEJOR VERANO DE MI VIDA has a cast full of familiar faces, among which are its protagonist Leo Harlem, Toni Acosta, Jordi Sanchez and Berto. More info
Just before the projection on Wednesday night at the festival, you will also be able to see the first images of LA SOMBRA DE LA LEY. A thriller set in the Barcelona of the 20's is the new film by Dani de la Torre, director of "El desconocido". More info
LES DISTÀNCIES
Zona Oberta
Another Barcelona director, Elena Trapé, also presents at BCN FILM FEST her latest project, LES DISTÀNCIES, an intimate comedy that reflects the disappointment of a whole generation of young people. With a cast headed by Alexandra Jiménez and Miki Esparbé and shot in Berlin, the film is a Catalan production that counts among its producers with Isabel Coixet. More info
MI QUERIDA COFRADÍA

Debut of the young Andalusian director Marta Díaz, formed as a director at the ESCAC (Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia), who also opted for the film as a production company. MI QUERIDA COFRADÍA is an original comedy about a woman whose great dream is to become the Older Sister of her brotherhood in Ronda (Malaga), although the men of brotherhood are not willing to leave anything easy. By betting on the new quality television formats in its programming, BCN FILM FEST will screen in the non-competitive section Zona Oberta the TV Movie from TV3, EL NOM, the adaptation made by Joel Joan of the well-known French play about the fun conflicts that causes a group of friends to choose the name of a baby. Starring Joel Joan himself, accompanied by Sandra Monclús, Xavi Mira, Mireia Piferrer and Sergi Vallès. More info
