LIST OF WINNERS AND BALANCE OF THE BCN FILM FEST 2025

THE QUIET SON, by Delphine Coulin and Muriel Coulin, has won the Best Film Award at the ninth edition of the Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival (BCN FILM FEST). The film narrates the dangers of the rise of the extreme right, in a family drama starring Vincent Lindon and Benjamin Voisin.

The festival has had more than 24,000 spectators, which represents a 20% increase over the previous year.  

Sílvia Munt, Sergi Belbel and Jose Corbacho have formed the Official Jury of this edition.

The BCN FILM FEST 2025 counted with

- 84 films, of which: 17 world premieres, 1 international, 1 European, 19 Spanish and 18 Catalan.

- 51 screenings and Q&As attended by talent including Richard Gere, Ralph Fiennes, Barbie Ferreira, Ferzan Özpetek, Milena Smit, Susi Sánchez, Éric Besnard, Eran Riklis, Pau Freixas, Manolo Solo, Manuela Vellés and Carlos Cuevas.

• Editing and Screenwriting based on the films "La Furgo" and "Cuatro paredes"

- ESCAC CINEMA TALKS

- 7 festival venues: Cinemes Verdi, CaixaForum, Casa Seat, Institut Français, Ateneu Barcelonès, Biblioteca Jaume Fuster and Vilanova i la Geltrú.

- 2nd edition of the Screen International Award for Catalan Producer of the Year.

The tenth edition of the BCN FILM FEST will take place from April 16 to 24, 2026.
