“VIATGE AL PAÍS DELS BLANCS” AND “MURDER IN THE BUILDING”, OPENING AND CLOSING FILMS OF THE FESTIVAL.
The opening film will be “Viatge al país dels blancs” and the closing film “Murder in the Building.”

The festival will open with “Viatge al país dels blancs”, a story based on the life of Ousman Umar that follows the journey of a young Ghanaian man who, driven by the dream of the “land of the whites”, arrives in Barcelona after a difficult journey, only to discover a reality very different from what he had imagined, transformed through his encounter with a family that offers him support and new opportunities. The festival will close with “Murder on the 3rd Floor”, a tribute to film noir directed by Rémi Bezançon and starring Gilles Lellouche, Laetitia Casta and Guillaume Gallienne, bringing the event to an end with a blend of intrigue and entertainment.
The BCN FILM FEST will celebrate its tenth edition from the 16th to the 24th of April, 2026, consolidating a decade of commitment to cinema, culture, and the city of Barcelona.
