Summary of the presentations and parallel activities of April 20

Arantxa Echevarría and the rest of the team behind the film Cada día nace un listo visited us and took part in a Q&A session after the screening.

Screening of the film Solomamma, followed by a Q&A with its director, Janicke Askevold.

The CINEMA TALKS BY ESCAC took place at Casa CUPRA Raval. We began with the talk “Intimacy Coordination in Film and Theatre Training Institutions.” The panel was moderated by Lola Clavo (filmmaker, lecturer, and intimacy coordinator), with Christian Checa (PhD in Social Communication and lecturer at ESCAC) and Claudia Arribas (filmmaker and ESCAC alumna).

Afterwards, we continued with “Sound Design,” featuring Laia Casanovas (Goya Award winner and Oscar nominee for Sirat) and Oriol Tarragó (Goya Award winner for La sociedad de la nieve, Tres, Un monstruo viene a verme, El niño, Lo imposible, and El orfanato).

First session of “New Talents,” featuring the screening of six short films with presentations by the directors, students from ESCAC and La Casa del Cine.

Within the Asian Women by CineAsia section, we screened Mi postre favorito, with an introduction by CineAsia.
