The love affair between poet Percy Shelley and 18 years old Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, which resulted in Mary Shelley writing one of the most important works of the history of fantastic literature: Frankenstein. When Mary´s family find out the affair between them, they forbid her to see Shelley again. But the two lovers escape to Lord Byron´s manor, next to Leman Lake in Switzerland. In this refuge they start to make out stories. In a time when female writers had to fight against prejudices, Mary Shelley conceives the genial idea of Frankenstein´s monster.
