The writer Oscar Wilde leaves prison after serving the sentence of forced labor that the authorities imposed two years earlier for homosexual conduct. Victim of the intolerance of the English society of the time, that has dragged him to the economic, physical and psychic ruin, Wilde is exiled to France. Here he will spend the last stage of his life, trying to recover the days of glory, fame and love of good times. But reaching this dream will be impossible.
