1933. After gaining prestige for being the first foreigner to interview Hitler, the Welsh journalist Gareth Jones is ready to do the same with Stalin. However, when he arrives in Moscow he rans into another journalist, Ada Brooks, who leads him into a much more dangerous investigation: the alleged famine that is decimating Ukraine. Jones will risk his life to inform the world about what lies behind the communist utopia.
