Patience Portefeux is a Franco-Arab judicial interpreter specializing in wiretapping for the narcotics department. During an investigation she discovers that one of the traffickers is none other than the son of the devoted nurse who takes care of his mother. She decides to cover it up and she soon heads a huge network. His fellow police officers give the nickname "Mama Maria" to the unknown newcomer to the world of drugs.
