Late 1990s. Joanna, a young woman who dreams of being a great writer, gets a job at one of New York's leading literary agencies as an assistant director. Among other tasks, Joanna has to answer the numerous letters sent by fans of one of the firm's writers, the legendary J.D. Salinger, author of "The Catcher in the Rye." Joanna will give her answers a very personal character.
