Portrait of Ennio Morricone, the most popular and prolific film composer of the 20th century, two-time Oscar winner and author of more than five hundred scores. The documentary presents the Maestro through a long interview conducted by Tornatore and with testimonies from artists and directors such as Bernardo Bertolucci, Marco Bellocchio, Dario Argento, the Taviani brothers, Carlo Verdone, Barry Levinson, Roland Joffé, Oliver Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Bruce Springsteen, Hans Zimmer and Pat Metheny. The film, which includes abundant archival footage, also sets out to reveal Morricone's lesser-known side.
