In a Valencian village in the post-war period, Ana tries to get by with her family; the civil war has opened a deep wound in all of them, especially in her brother-in-law Antonio. Ana tries to heal this wound with stews, secrets and silence, but when Isabel, recently married to Antonio, arrives in the family, Ana's attention and care are worth little or nothing: sacrifice is not always rewarded.
