Cesc Gay, a film director and screenwriter born in Barcelona in 1967 and EMAV graduate, made his film direction debut with Hotel Room (1998), shot in New York City, where he was living at the time. Selected by the San Sebastian Festival, the film allowed him to be known and receive his first film assignment: the film adaptation of the play Krámpack (2000), which was selected and awarded a prize at the Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival. From then on, he has made a succession of films, the most noteworthy of which are: En la ciudad (2003), Ficció (2006), Una pistola en cada mano (2012), Truman (2015), Sentimental (2020) and his latest film Historias para no contar (2022). He also directs the TV series Félix (2018) and debuts in writing and directing theatre with the comedies Els veïns de dalt (2015) and 53 Diumenges (2020), premiered at Teatre Romea in Barcelona.

Vicky Luengo, born in Palma de Mallorca in 1990 and raised in Barcelona. She was described by the jury of RNE's Ojo Crítico de Cine award as "A versatile actress full of talent capable of selecting good stories that she turns, with her work, into truth". In theatre, her work in El Golem (2022) for which she received the Godot award for best female performance, Como una perra en un descampat (2020-2019), Mi película italiana (2019), El idiota (2019), Una gossa en un descampat (2018) and Una vida americana (2018) stand out. In television, he has just finished shooting the adaptation of the best-selling thriller Reina Roja by Juan Gómez-Jurado, directed by Koldo Sierra, which will be released in 2023. His leading roles in Historias para no dormir: El Doble (2021) and Antidisturbios (2020) stand out. His latest works in cinema have been Suro (2021) by Mikel Guerra, El Sustituto (2020) by Óscar Aibar, Chavalas (2020), by Carol Rodríguez, Hogar (2020), by Álex and David Pastor, and El Sustituto (2020), by Óscar Aibar.

In the awards category, for her role in Suro (2021) she was nominated for the Goya Awards for Best Leading Actress and, at the 15th Gaudí Awards Gala, she won the Gaudí for Best Leading Actress. In 2021, she won the Ondas and Fotogramas de Plata Awards for Best Actress and was also nominated for the Forqué Awards, Feroz Awards, Zapping Awards and Iris Awards for her work in Antidisturbios (2020).

Empar Moliner, born in Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, made her name with the collection of short stories L'ensenyador de pisos que odiava els mims, which was followed by the novel Feli, esthéticienne (Josep Pla Prize 2000). She later published the volumes of short stories T'estimo si he begut (Lletra d'Or Prize 2005), which was made into a play by David Selvas with great public acclaim, and No hi ha terceres persones, and the collections of articles Busco senyor per amistat i el que sorgeixi and Desitja guardar els canvis?. In 2012 she published the novel La col.laboradora (Columna), followed by Contes infantils contra tot pronòstic, and in 2015 she won the Mercè Rodoreda Prize with Tot això ho faig perquè tinc molta por. In 2021 she published the book of short stories És que abans no érem així (Columna). She is a regular contributor to different media, radio, television and written press.
