CARA-B is a desktop documentary that focuses on the Golden Record that NASA sent into space at the end of the 70s. The piece reflects on issues such as the power of scientific discourse to produce revisions of the world, the evolution of the archive concept or the redefinition of borders in the rhetoric of space colonialism. The piece also deals with the tension between official memory and vernacular memory, the technological mediation of memory, and the rhetorical violence exercised by certain types of archives.
